Your legal rights come first

If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK, or anywhere else with distance-selling or digital-content protections, your law gives you rights we cannot sign away. Those may include a right to withdraw from a distance contract and a right to a remedy if digital content is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

Nothing on this page limits those rights. Everything below is what Atomic Bits offers on top of them.

Our 30-day guarantee

For your first Wikai charge, monthly or yearly, we offer a full refund within 30 days, no questions asked.

This is our own guarantee. It is deliberately longer than the 14-day withdrawal period many consumer laws use, and it is separate from any statutory right.

Faulty or misdescribed product

If Wikai is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, tell us. We will try to put it right or refund you where a refund is the right remedy.

No time limit of ours cuts off the mandatory remedies your law gives you.

Renewals

Cancelling stops future charges. You keep Supporter rights until the end of the period already paid for, unless a refund or legal remedy ends them earlier.

Renewals are handled case by case. If a renewal charge caught you out, email us. We would rather sort it out quickly than have you dispute it with your bank.

UK consumers with annual subscriptions may have a fresh statutory withdrawal period when an annual subscription auto-renews. Nothing in this policy limits that.

How to ask for a refund

Email support@wikai.app and include:

• the email address used at checkout;
• the Paddle receipt, order number, or subscription reference if you have it;
• whether you are asking under our 30-day guarantee, because of a fault, or under a statutory withdrawal right.

Ask us for refunds under our 30-day guarantee. Paddle’s own buyer-facing refund window is shorter than ours, so a request sent only to Paddle after that window may be refused even though our guarantee would still cover you.

Paddle’s role

Paddle.com is the merchant of record for Wikai orders. Paddle is the seller on the payment transaction, takes the payment, calculates tax, issues your receipt, provides the customer portal, and processes approved refunds.

What the charge looks like

Because Paddle is the seller, the charge on your bank or card statement reads:

It will not say Atomic Bits. If a charge looks unfamiliar, paddle.net can identify it from your card details, and we can too — email support@wikai.app. Either is faster than a bank dispute, and we would much rather answer the question than have you go that route.

Atomic Bits decides whether a refund is due under our 30-day guarantee or under a product remedy we are responsible for. Paddle processes the payment mechanics once a refund is approved.

The Paddle customer portal, linked from your receipt, is where you update payment details, find invoices, and cancel your subscription.

For digital content supplied immediately, a statutory withdrawal right may be lost if, during checkout, you expressly consented to immediate supply and acknowledged that you would lose the right once supply began. Our 30-day guarantee is separate from that statutory withdrawal analysis.

Bank disputes

You can raise a dispute with your bank or payment provider if you want to. Please contact us first when possible. It is faster, and we can only fix what reaches us.

Why this shape

You never lose your wiki either way. The files are plain Markdown on your own disk, and the free tier keeps working for permitted personal, non-commercial use. The worst case is that you stop paying us, not that you lose your work.
